Clark High School v. Schreiber

In March 2006, Benjamin Schreiber and Ryan Todd, two 16-year old Clark High School students (in the Northside Independent School District of San Antonio, TX), posted a false MySpace page about their assistant principal Anna Draker. Draker complained that the page contained lewd, defamatory and obscene text and pictures, and falsely depicted Draker as a lesbian, which she is not.

The page was online for approximately one month before it was brought to Draker 's attention in April 2006. Draker contacted MySpace, and at her request MySpace took the page down. Northside Independent School District officials investigated the incident. Schreiber was suspended for three days. Todd was forced to attent a parent conference.

Draker also sued the students and their parents seeking damages and punitive damages, claiming that the parents were liable for neglegence in failing to supervise their children.
