What is a forum, thread, etc?

A forum is an online site created for the purpose of allowing discussion.  The CMLP forums are a place for users to discuss legal and non-legal matters related to citizen media.   Forum users can interact by posting questions, answers, and other comments related to a given topic.

A thread is a grouping of posts set-up as a conversation among users.
