What is the Receiving/Defending Party field? in
This field identifies the party that receives or responds to the legal
threat or action –- for instance, the recipient of a cease-and-desist
letter or the defendant in a legal action. If there are multiple
parties, list all of them. Names should be written out as they normally
appear (first name followed by last name). Multiple names should be
separated by semi-colons (";"). For example: “Joe Smith; Sue Smith;
Trey Smith". If the legal threat is a lawsuit, the relevant court
documents will contain information regarding the parties involved.
