Incorporation for a Foreign Entrepreneur

Incorporation for a Foreign Entrepreneur

Hello,

Does anyone know what is the procedure for a foreign entrepreneur to incorporate a private limited company in the US? I am assuming apart from the required documents, I would require a lawyer who would advise on the appropriate entrepreneur visa required and other formalities.

Thank You.

Re: Incorporation for a Foreign Entrepreneur

There seem to be two parts to your question: incorporation, and the appropriate visa for a foreign entreprenuer.  Incorporation of a business for a foreign entrepreneur in most states will be similar to the process for any legal resident to incorporate.  You can read more about the process in our legal guide under "Creating a Business."  As for the visa issue, it sounds like what you may need is an EB-5 visa.  A bill is currently pending in Congress to expand this program.  For more information, you should consult with an immigration attorney.
