Case Update / Pressler v Mills
Sheldon Pressler filed suit against Scott Mills and the CAIPNJ blog in the Bergen County Superior Court on February 2, 2009. The documents are now posted.
This case is simply a matter of a Public Entity attempting to silence Scott Mills for exposing the New Jersey Debt Collection Industry in where the Lawyers who collect on these debts, are the same people that make the Local Civil Rules in order to achieve a process in where innocent New Jersey Consumers are threatened and bullied in to paying for debts that they do not owe.
Some of these Collection Agencies are not registered as required pursuant to the Collection Agency rules in New Jersey, but they are allowed to continue to operate without anybody questioning them or fighting back at them.
Scott Mills has been exposing these people for over a year on the CAIPNJ Blog, and Sheldon Pressler, Esq is the owner of one of these New Jersey Collection Agencies named Pressler & Pressler, LLP.
I will be updating this case as more information and documentation becomes available; please support me anyway that you can as Bloggers should not be forced in to silence when they are exposing topics of such an important subject; namely the economy and those who are abusing consumers for their own gain.
Dear Scott-Congratulations
and BTW, Corzine still NOTHING?
what a shame
Case update
Scott, thanks for providing us with this update and for uploading the documents. We've created a new database entry for the lawsuit (we like to keep the correspondence separate from the lawsuits for research purposes). The new database entry is Pressler v. Mills (Lawsuit).
Get these scumbags!
Go Scott Go! These scumbags have skirted the law for too long. Keep up the fight. Maybe there is one honest judge left in NJ. Certainly the AG and Corzine have no interest in protecting consumers from their legal "brethren". They obviously get rich together helping each other. These bastards create the laws to enrich themselves.
GO SCOTT GO!
Order Denying Temporary Restraints
I have uploaded the Order denying Temporary Restraints which was signed by the Honorable Judge Robert Contillo, JSC of the Bergen County Chancery Division on February 5, 2009.
The case is now set for a hearing on the Order to Show Cause part of the Motion on March 13, 2009 at 9AM in room 336 of the Hackensack/Bergen County Courthouse in Hackensack, New Jersey.
I could not put this on the Lawsuit page, so maybe those with the power can place it there; thank you and I will keep you informed of any news; and thank you for the great support that I have been receiving concerning this matter. SCOTT J MILLS
i'm with you
whatever i can do to help. please let me know.
Pressler V Mills
I was in Court on Friday with one of the Pressler Lawyers, arguing a jugement from 2006 Pro Se.The Judge became so mad at him that she actually told him to sit down and dont say another word while she states her opinion on record. I was able to get my judgement vacated, money that was garnished returned (they have 15 days) and a chance to really get back at them.
Sheldon Pressler v. Scott J Mills
On March 13 2009, SJ Mills of CAIPNJ successfully defended, (Pro Se) the Preliminary Injunction Motion brought on by the New Jersey Debt Collector Sheldon Pressler of Pressler & Pressler, LLP!
A Case Management Conference is set for March 19, 2009 in Hackensack, New Jersey with Discovery concluding possibly around April/May of 2009.
Counterclaim Filed
The Defendant Scott Mills has filed a CounterClaim against Sheldon Pressler.
CAIPNJ, Do you have a copy
CAIPNJ,
Do you have a copy of the counterclaim so we can add it to the entry?
